We just went thru the canal. It is still amazing. Last time we were on a huge ship that left just inches on each side between the ship and the lock. This time our ship is smaller, it only holds 650 passengers. It was a lot easier this time. It also is not as exciting to go thru a lock after the first time. The canal is an engineering wonder, since the only moving parts are the doors of the locks. The water is moved by gravity. After going thru the first 2 locks you go across Lake Gaitan, for hours. This where the ships wait until it is their turn to continue. Then, after going under the "bridge of the Americas" we went down some more locks, then after about 9 hours we are in the Pacific. (that is ON the Pacific)

Hello world travelers! It was great to be one of the last SW Coloradans to send you off!
Have a wonderful time!

I miss you! I hope you're having a fantastic time! Nothing new here, which is good - no pregnant teenagers (yet), no arrests... All still employed. Dan is working on our new kitchen! Should be done by Christmas - not sure what year. But it looks great so far.
Love, Debbie
